Enough of Doormats, can i be a dog?

ever heard of AEs (account executives) being the doormats of agencies? well you better believe it -- there can't be more truth in this.

save the details, but you really do get blamed for EVERYTHING, and when things go well, clients think it's the designers who did a great job, and designers think damn well of themselves for being so spot-on with everything about the client (even though they had minimal contact with clients.) ooohh, how did everything go soooo smoothly with the project?

so, after a hard day of trampling, i return with a heavy heart.

the harsh insane words are still ringing in my ears, all the way from one end of CTE to the other end. i fight the nasty voices and drowned it with the radio. the DJ was conducting a quick interview for potential candidates of "A few good men", this army commander said something that sorta stuck:
"Leaders shoulder all the blame when something goes wrong. But we always remember to share the credit with our men because they played a big part in our success. Unfair? Not at all, because it's part of my responsibility as a leader."

As a leader, mabbe we shd tink like that. As peers, i tink it's unacceptable to shove all the nasty words you can remember down the throats of others and deny them a chance to speak. F*%# , i feel like dumbcane. WHY CAN"T I SAY MY PIECE?

Jean made a really good point with something she wrote -- and i really feel like reincarnating as a dog after reading it (altho that was not her original intention). She thinks that words don't get in the way with animals because they can't understand what you're saying anyway. We're all forced to speak with our actions instead, so "pple will learn the right way to treat people in our lives." ok , so it's kinda great. then i can take a break, sit back and let others do the understanding, let others pamper and humour me, and if they demonstrate hostility with words -- i can say "I CAN"T HEAR YOU" !!!! (oh sorry, dogs supposed to bark.) ok woof woof!
