today, i was woken up by D's distressed message. D's dad passed away this morning.


moment of silence.


it was a very uncharacteristic SMS -- uncharacteristic becos the words were so raw and direct and it was in Chinese. D never sms in Chinese.


we spoke briefly, i could tell that D was as worn out physically as he was emotionally. i didn't say too much, but i was just as distressed by the news even though i've never met D's dad.

gosh. i prayed to Heavens quite frequently throughout the day.

D, be strong. as i know you always have been.
